Our Aqua Hot is Making Loud Noises
When burner is on. A roaring sound that lasts about 30 seconds each time. I checked the fluid level and it is about 1 inch below hot level. Any idea what is going on? We have a 14 Aspire 44B
Thanks

Might not be getting quite enough air. I had a deep squealing sound and had to adjust the combustion air balance because of altitude.

I had that same problem on my 44B. I dealt with Troy and Tim at Aquahot instead of Entegra. Mine made a loud bellowing sound, like a moose in heat is the way I described it..lol Aqua Hot shipped a different exhaust pipe (larger) to my dealer, which they installed and the problem went away. It was also not lighting correctly when I turned on the fuel switch, so they installed a size bigger orifice and fixed that problem too. Mine is an Espire, so it should be noted that it is propane fueled. Hope this helps.

On the LP unit air is the issue with loud noise during combustion. If you remove the 3 screws holding the cover on on top of the burner you will see a fan with a adjustable air plate. There is a nut in the center and a screw on the top of the plate loosen them slightly and you will be able to rotate the plate to change the air inlet. put a piece of tap on the door switch to hold it down and run the unit. Adjust until it runs nice and quiet. Then set the cover back in place to make sure it runs quiet with the cover on if so snug the nut and screw back up and reinstall the cover. Aqua Hot sets them at 5000 ft elevation so they often need a tune up when down here.

Dawg44B,
I'd call Aqua Hot....
They deal with this issue every day. You'll get a more precise and comprehensive answer.

Good point 1mainiac. AH are manufactured in CO, so it would be hard for them to adjust the fuel mixture for sea-level. It would strictly be a guess setting and no way of testing.

Hi, I haven’t learned how to use this forum yet so please forgive me if I’m doing this wrong! We are having the same thumping/banging noises coming from our aquahot and I would like to contact someone at Aquahot to troubleshoot as there are no aquahot technicians anywhere in or around the area we are at. Does anybody have a good contact telephone number for Aquahot?
