We like Camp Hatteras RV Park. Full hookups and most sites are large enough for most any big rig. This is our favorite destination.

What's the cost per night? Sounds tempting if no hurricanes!

Out of curiosity I went to their website. Shows the rate fluctuates between $48 - $138 night depending on the time of year and proximity to the ocean. Add more per night for cable, kids, pets, and holidays. Too expensive for me!

KOA is there also. Lost are big, but OB is always so windy. Last time we were there they still hadn't recovered from the big hurricane

Cape Hatteras RV Park and Cape Hatteras KOA are right next to each other and both are good but expensive. Cape Hatteras National Seashore (a National Park) also has several,(about 4 or 5) camp grounds. I believe they have remodeled and upgraded some to have electric hook up. If you have a National Park Pass you get half price.

We stayed at Camp Hatteras Twice, both were great. We went in the low season.
Once in April, once in late October. The campground was basically empty. I would think in the high season it would be packed. I liked the place to myself. Heck, even the beach was empty too. We had a blast.
Keep your windows closed. The blows 24/7. Sand everywhere
