Over The Door (OTD) awning adjustment
2014 Aspire. I have the Carefree of Colorado Marquee OTD awning.
Instructions don’t really cover adjustments.
Problem: when looking at the awning from outside, the right side(front) sags a bit and rubs on the top of the door.
It appears that there are Allen wrench style adjustments but don’t want to go messing and make things worse.
Everything works fine. Bracketing to coach appears tight and secure.
Anyone deal with this?
Thanks.
Tom

I adjusted mine on my 14 after installing LED lights. It was TERRIBLE to get adjusted. Might go on the website and see if there is good instruction before trying. I didn't and paid for it.

Yikes, not what I was hoping for....carefree doesn’t have much in the way of adjustments. That is why I don’t want to start messing with it since it works.
I might try checking a bit more...thanks much.

Here is a link to the complete manuel
https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/d...wning-Care.pdf
I went to leave a site about 2 weeks ago and the awning over the door would not come in. Check the front end of your awning cover and look close. There is a round black plug that you pop off then you a 3/8” rachet to bring the awning in manually

For loose door awning, I was told by Entegra to push the "IN" switch momentarily once the awning is extended. It worked for me.

Had the same problem on a previous coach, Dometic awning. I think the mechanical function is nearly the same. The joints on the ends of the arms were a tongue and clevis type joint. On mine, the pin that goes down through top of the clevis, through the tongue, then the bottom clevis, had worked it’s way up out of the bottom clevis, thus giving no straight out support to the arm. It was a bit difficult to get done, but I used a C clamp to press the pin back down into the bottom of the clevis. All of my pins needed some adjustment.

I do the quick in to bring the awning up a bit but it settles back to its resting position which rubs the door.
Not the end of the world but I don’t like to let things go.
I’ll check the provided link for adjustments but the one I read covered install.
Thanks again.
