How about the old $10,000 deposit to take a test drive....yep, they tried to pull that one on me too.
It's too bad, because I have put all Newmar dealers in the same class as North Trails and I wouldn't believe what any of them say.

Chuck, if RVOne does get the Newmar line in Tampa and Albany, it would certainly bring Newmar into the picture. I've had such good luck with the Strollo family that it would be hard for me to go elsewhere, particularly with a brand that I only know from others. I've tire kicked, factory toured, employee talked, and done just about everything I could do in regards to Entegra other than writing the check, so for me to go to another brand, it would have to be with a dealer I would trust completely and so far, there is only one that fits that bill for me.

Ed, it is just me. I had such a BAD experience with North Trails I turn red at the mention of their name. For me, I would not own a MH that NT would be the servicing dealer for in my area. I also believe that RVOne taking on Newmar in Tampa will be a game changer in this area. I hope they really put a hurt on NT. I can say that RVOne is as honest as the day is long and I was impressed when we sat down with them. If they would have had the servicing bays when we ordered, it would might have been with RVOne.

I have had bad experiences with North Trails salespeople - that doesn't mean they are all bad. By the same token, I have had good experience with Lazy Days sales personnel - doesn't make them all good. You need to do your due diligence before you start your search.

I was in sales ( not rv or auto. ) and can relate to everything you said.

There was a lot of "mis-leading" on the North Trail lot at Tampa at the Supershow...a shame as I really wanted to spend a little time understanding where the Newmar line is going with chassis changes and all. Just sayin'

After the Tampa show we had a mini show here at Pelican Lake and NT brought in 3 or 4 Newmars along with their hustler sales people. In talking with a bunch of neighbors here the general feelings is that NT should not be believed. My experience when visiting their units was not good. They will say anything to sell a unit including big lies. No thanks, to many good dealers out there.

IMHO,
If salesmen aren't trust worthy,
It all starts at the top= no one can be trusted!
