Partially clogged kitchen sink

Tried plunger, didn’t help. Can I use liquid plumber in Coach. Don’t seem to have any other blockages. Seems to be a new development. Could it be a kink? DW only puts liquid down drain. Thanks

Is sink in slideout?
Yes then check if flex drain line is getting kinked?

NO....
Is it a single sink or double sink?
Double......then is one side draining better then other side?

Have you removed the drain line/trap from sink and check if it is clogged up in the trap?

The trap would be my first guess. My kitchen is in a slideout, and it does drain slower with the slide pulled in. So he could have a kink or something has gotten up against the flexible hose in the slide.

Ours is in slide. Partially blocked when slide is extended. Thoughts on liquid plumber products?

JMO: as temperamental as the macerators are for the seal failing, I would be very reluctant to use any harsh chemicals. I would check the P trap and go from there.

If the sink is on a slide out then it is most likely a kinked hose. Had that problem just a few weeks ago.

I bet it's the "air-admittance" valve. If you can reach back there unscrew it and the water will flow. Replacing it is a pain because you have to remove the drawer and get into the cavity.

Ok, will avoid that option. The bottom of slide is sealed pretty well, not sure how to access flexible part that would kink. Would have to be from inside basement, right?

This^^ makes me ask two questions. First, what do you mean by partially blocked? Do you mean the sink drains very, very slowly?

Second, have you tried pulling the slide in and seeing if the sink drains?

And yes, the air admittance valves is something to check.

Never use liquid plumber in your drains.
Mix a 1/2 cup of table salt and 1/2 cup of baking soda together, then pour it down the drain. Let to set for 30 minutes, and pour 2 cups of boiling water down the drain. I have had some drains so clogged that they only cleared hours later, but it really works well! If it doesn't unclog repeat.
I never had to do it twice.

Drains slowly, will pull slide in tomorrow when we depart current stop, then try with it in. Thanks
