Plug for RVPARKY

I've used a variety of trip planning software over the last decade or so. A few years ago I started using RVParky and found it handy but a little short in the number of park reviews. But I still refer to it. Being totally free may have something to do with it.

I never noticed their trip planning section, but when I did, I used it to plan a fairly complex 3 month trip with 24 park stays (so far.) And I'm quite impressed. It is clear, intuitive and helpful. It also allows me to send a link about our trip to friends and family so they can keep up with our travels. It will only get better with more user inputs.

So I thought I would give it a plug as it worked well for me. I'm not associated with them in any way, just a user.

Another advocate for RVParky here as well. Started planning with it about 8 months ago now.

If I don't like the options when click on overnight it offers, as we tend to enjoy non CG's, I just check out on Campendium, Freecampsites, Ioverlander, BLM, USFS and other public lands for an alternative option. Overall though I've found it awesome and has more or less replaced the Googlemaps I used to always use with a combination of other sites before.

Only thing is when I've emailed a copy of our RVParky itinerary to hubby he can't see the comments/notes I've put in at his end. Would be nice to be able to see that when we are discussing from each of our screens.

We used the App to find places to overnight on our 4000 mile trip this winter. It was very helpful and accurate.

Iíve used RV Parky for 5 years. Really like it, but requested a few new RV parks be added about 6 weeks ago and that still hasnít happened. Much easier to use than trip wizard in my opinion.

I north Texas it is missing many parks. The rates shown are way out of date. I use Park Advisor and Good Sam's. I got a poor response from the administer on their missing parks.

Is RV Parky still supported

I've used RV Parky for over 2 years now, still like it. But: No one seems to respond to emails any more, no updates are showing up. I made dozens of new or changed locations over the last year, none have shown up.

Some dislikes include inability to route to locations not in RV Parky, i.e. a Harvest Host location or a friends driveway. Also you can't modify roads used, we don't like the interstates, prefer a "blue highways" approach to our routing.

I've been using RV Trip Wizard more & more. It does allow custom location stops & also allows you to specify "avoid highways", although the algorithm they use is not optimal. I usually use either Google Maps or my Garmin 970 GPS to pick the roads.

I am using RV Parky trip planner for the first time currently. I like it, user friendly and is getting the job done.

It was the first planning App we tried, and still remains our go to one.

I use Truckmiles.com to plan routing. It keeps me on safe roads with no height or weight worries. It also gives me a more realistic time it will take to get from here to there.

Just checked out that site, I will run it along side my regular tool and see how they harmonize. Not an APP yet, website.

Thanks for letting us know.
