Next to the brake peddle there is a switch much like he driver side console switches. Hold that down while starting. That is he low air pressure by-pass switch. Yes, they could have put it in a better place.

I also drive a 19 Cornerstone, and there is something very wrong with your suspension if your coach is dropping pressure enough to prevent the Cummins from rolling.... in fact, I have never heard of that and have never experienced that problem in > 100,000 miles and ~ 8 years in motorcoaches. My opinion is that you need to get that problem fixed as its not "normal" or common.

I have had it happen being parked for over 2 months. That why I know where the switch is. 3 PSI per day is acceptable with Spartan. Some coach leak more than others. I leak more in the winter when the seals are cold than I do in the summer when the seals are warm. Perfectly normal and why the switch is there. If it was happening overnight or in a few day, then there is an air leak problem.
Some are adamant about a 10 psi leak in a month, I stopped chasing air leaks that small years ago. Free pump up sprayer if anybody wants it.

Sorry, I am confused.

It is engine-driven compressor that builds air pressure. Starting the engine should have nothing to do with air pressure?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Entegra installed a low pressure bypass switch. Entegras will not start if the air pressure is below 60 psi, IIRC.

I learned something new. I did not know Entegra would not start below 60 PSI.
Or that a bypass switch existed near the brake pedal.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Chuck.

And what happens after the coach has been in storage for long enough that system PSI has bled off?

Not sure I understand the logic??

DOT allows for 3 psi leak down per hour and your system is still within spec. You are not supposed to leave your coach sitting for extended periods of time without exercising all your systems. You should start the coach monthly, run the genset and tun on all components in the coach. The switch is there for when you don’t monitor your coach or you have an issue with the suspension. It will allow you to start the coach like Brobox stated. We have coaches in storage that none had been in over a year. Not good for them to set like that. Yes it’s plugged into power, but when they finally take it out things won’t function correctly.

If you’re asking where the bypass switch is,it’s here, below the diagnostic plug at the base of the steering column.Click image for larger version

Thank you - Only problem I have now - is there is not a switch there on my 2018.

But I'm not going nuts because I could not find it.

So, what's the reason for needing an override switch? Why doesn't the engine start with 0psi in the tanks? What happens when you drain your air tanks, like you are supposed to?

They must have some reason for installing this!

Bobby, I will agree with this quote but as a good friend told me that his coach sits up at night while he sleeps trying to figure out what is not going to work in the morning when he gets up.
