Problem with Girard awnings

I noticed today when closing awning, that the rear end of the front awning when closed is down about an inch compared to the front. Same difference comparing rear of front awning to front of rear awning. Was told by Gerard to take end cap off and you can see how it is retracting and guides may néed to be bent for it to close even. Anyone had this problem and fixed it in the field? Operation of awnings appears normal it just doesn't stow correctly. I'm in the middle of nowhere and would like to straighten this out.

The awning is certainly adjustable...I've had a similar problem and if you want to wait till you're near a repair facility or home, try using a broom or brush to push the end that is low up about an inch as it pulls in the the last six inches. Works right now for me till I get around to digging into it more. Happened when I managed to get the awning coming in crooked when it was wet.

You should have an adjustment tool that will allow you to adjust the motor to pull in a bit more. The adjustment is made by the motor similar to the united shades.

X2 to what Corey said. you can find the black tool in your EC bag, also the instructions to adjust simple procedure. The awnings will settle over time and just about everyone will need a tweek every now and then. Mine were perfect from the factory then at about 11,000 miles I noticed they were doing the same as yours. 15 minutes with the tool and ladder I had them adjusted.

My center bar support screws rattled out the other day I notced it because 1 of the bars almost fell of when deploying it when I get home I will add a lock washer and a bit of light lock tight, 3 others were very loose and falling out so I tightened them must have been overlooked at the factory
