To sort of answer your initial question, I just hard wired the Progressive into my late model 2015 and I know it might be different, but wanted to tell you that it was a piece of cake to do for the 2015. You did have to totally remove the power cord reel and then I chose to put the EMS behind the reel, on the aft vertical wall, and placed the digital readout right above the power button/switch for the reel. Works great. Behind the reel, there is a fairly large cavity beside the AquaHot and in front of the basement "radiator". I think that you will be fine. Oh, I did use the fairly inflexible appropriate romex and inserted the EMS so it would monitor both my generator and the line power. Has worked great while on the road the past 3 months.
