Propane Aquahot Jet taking off

My aquahot works great, nice heat, though I dont know if this is normal. When only on propane the first 5-10 seconds when it kicks on it sounds like a jet engine taking off. very loud out side. Inside it vibrates my dishes.

I'm familar with both jet engines and a 375 LP Aqua Hot in my 13 DEQ and mine does make a somewhat louder sound when lighting off, but does not come anywhere close to shaking our dishes.

As does the Diesel fired AquaHot...but not a jet engine-like sound.

Would be nice to hear a recording of it to better help identify the cause. Generally whether diesel or LP a roaring sound you hear is the exhaust pressure from the flame thru the combustion chamber when it's first lit. It's generally not excessive and usually tapers off quickly as it comes up to temp. In your case though get it to a qualified AquaHot service center and have them test the gas valve pressure and check the burner's mounting to the air tube, and the gasket between the combustion chamber and the burner - a leak there could cause it to draw too much oxygen in the mix causing the "roar" you may be hearing.
