Proper way to heat engine

You don't list any rig or heat system specifics??
Oasis engine preheat is an option and the sw for it on mine is overhead pass side cabinet with the elec & burner selection switches. So if you have that option you get whatever heat source you choose for the Oasis unit... elec, burner or both.

FL w Cummins engine also has elec block heater independant of Oasis engine preheat. It's all elec and control is a breaker in bath elec panel that activates an recepticle in elec bay where heater plugs in.

Pre heat uses the AH Burner to preheat the engine. However if parking with full hookup, you can use the electric engine heater plug in in the engine bay for free engine preheat. If parked at Walmart with temps below 20 degrees, turn the engine preheat and burner on when you get up. If below 0 the night before, but you shouldn't be there anyhow

No preheat needed if you are not in sub-freezing temperatures. In six years mine has never been used.
