Pulling in mirrors on Aspire 2022

Hi Friends! Your sharing so willingly in this forum is incredible. Thank you!

I tried a search, to no avail....

I have a horse barn I'm converting to the coach garage. It is 11' wide on the inside - which I thought was going to be plenty of room as the coach is 8.5' wide. Or is it? The mirrors!!!

I gave them a push and they didn't budge - can I pull them in tight for storage? I see there is a plastic plug underneath - so I go in there?

Or is there a power switch that I haven't found yet?

TIA

Christopher

Only the glass of the mirrors are power. You can swivel the head, but that is about it. The arms are fixed. I have not looked close at my newer mirrors, but if there is a rubber plug at the bottom, it probably exposes the bolt to loosen the head. A photo of your 22 mirror would help.

It is difficult to swing the mirrors and you run the risk of disrupting the wiring. As I recall there are 3 Allen screws that hold it tight. Sounds very tight. Is there enough room to open the door?

Try the manufacturer site for diagram. On ours a bolt on bottom and some Allen screws under decorative cover.
Ours are velvac (?). I want to swing my drivers side from side to front.

Under that plastic cover there’s a bolt that you can loosen. Take an extension and a hammer tap the bolt which will loosen the arm that fits into a wedge. After that you can swing the whole mirror including the arm forward as far as you want. Tighten the bolt a little to hold it and you should be good to go until you need to reset them for travel.
Personally I wouldn’t mess with the mirror part, it’s too hard to get lined back up.
