Pulsing Third Brake Light

I like the idea of the "Pulsing Third Brake Light". Has anyone given any thought to what it would take to add this to a 2016 Anthem?

I posted about that a few years ago and somebody quoted some obscure DOT regulation basically saying "you can't put one on your RV or bus" despite seeing them on many motorcycles.

Interesting.... I only ask because all of the 2018 Entegra models except the Insignia have the Pulsating Third Brake Light.

Introduced last year on the 17s.

Added a $13 add on device to my 2003 Dutch Star that gives my third light pulsating ability. Very easy.

My SIL has a center mounted brake light on his Subaru down at bumper level that pulses quickly, BUT it only does so for about 2 seconds, then goes steady. Sitting behind someone at a stop light with a constantly pulsing center brake light would drive me batty!

Our Entegra lights pulse quickly and go steady also.

I found this on Amazon.com:

and it is on You Tube

Looks like it will do the job!

The modules are available on Ebay or Amazon, and also elsewhere. It's easy to add the pulses to your third brake light. This is something that I hadn't thought about, so I'll have to add this mod to my classic. I'm sure that Chuck will post it when he does his and we can copy it. Right Chuck !!

I had to laugh, if people can't see the back of that big bus with all the lights already on it, then a flashing 6 inch light I don't think will help them A small motorcycle I can see, but not a 13 foot high MH with 6 brake lights, plus the toad with brake lights. My center light would be blocked by the toad anyway.

I would agree Chuck.... I laughed too when I got rear ended in my coach by a young teenage girl that was distracted using her cell phone. Not to say this would stop this situation from happening, but if it got the attention of someone distracted for only a moment, it can't hurt!

I guess I am from the old school, "you can't fix stupid" I think a flashing cell phone is more important to younger drivers than a flashing light in front of them. Nothing wrong with doing the mod, but when I am using my MH the toad is always behind me which would block the flashing brake light. I tow a truck, which is high profile blocking that light. Nothing wrong with the upgrade at all, but I won't be doing a photo post

How are we all going to figure it out without your input. I was hoping that you would jump on it.

I hear you... totally agree about fixing stupid! I couldn't believe it when it happened and yes I laughed for all the reasons you stated!
