I bought mine from Lowes, but Amazon seems to be a better price. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Studor-1-1-...e-Vent/1081741

Thanks, folks. Not being at the coach - do I need just one or do I need two of these puppies? And does it screw on or should I pink up some pipe cement?

My vents were old ones left over from a remodeling project. I had to cut the pipe and use the adapter on mine, but I hear the new ones are different. (not much help, huh)
I replaced both of my bathroom vents. If I get a gray tank odor, the kitchen sink will be next. They do make a $4.00 replacement that is a step up from factory vents also available at the box stores.

Just a note to let everyone know: it has been absolutely beautiful in southwestern Arizona since last Sunday. Daytime temps warmer every day, very light winds, sunny, 77 degrees at 4:30 PM as I write this email from Yuma, 75 miles south of Quartzite. A few degrees warmer each day, mid 80's next week. Seems that the RV show timing was off by one week.

Chuck, how many air vent valves do we have on the RBQ? CS told me they would find out and get back with PN's and locations. It's been awhile and no reply. Thought I'd try here.
Than's,
pat

Four, one under each bathroom sink, those are to the black tank and the ones I installed the good Studor vents. Then there are 2 to the gray tank, the kitchen sink and the washing machine. Those I will replace with the standard black screw ons sold at Home Depot or Lowes for about 4 bucks. I have never heard of the gray tank vents failing, only the black tank vents. Must have something to do with the suction?

Glad to help. My vent in the 1/2 bath stuck while in storage. It about knocked me over when I opened the entry door. Not something I don't want to go through again, it was definitely not FreshAir .

Thanks Wayne, the important thing is...we both learned the hard way about not checking the condition of our fluid until we needed heat. Who would have thought it would turn to sludge for no reason.

For a Honey wagon without this "suction vent"....would it be prudent to hold the toilet flush valve open to create a "vent"? Just wondering.

In Gary's excellent recap, he mentioned the Aspire owners possibly being challenged in battery power and running their generators more frequently to get through the night.
We are probably going to settle on an Aspire when we start our search.
Now I am rethinking this mostly because we plan on boon docking more often than not.
I would like to hear from New and Classic Aspire owners (and anyone else that can enlighten me) as to how they managed at Q, if that was their first time boon docking or if they regularly boon dock, how they got along in managing their power consumption.
Thanks in advance. 2019 Q is on my to do list.
Tom
