Question for Anthem&Cornerstones- Genny slide

My Aspire has the manually slide generator tray, and boy is it tough to slide. I slide it out to check the oil daily on long hot days of genny use.

Does the Cornerstone and/or Anthem have a power actuated slide mechanism? If so, is it air or hydraulic? Anybody have any details/model numbers from your owners literature? Where are the buttons located to move it? I was wondering if a retrofit is possible.

I wish the Anthem had a power slide, that was one of my first questions at RVOne. I was looking forward to that on my next MH, but sad to say it does not. Spraying the slides with silicone does help.

On my TS I don't pull the generator out to check the oil anymore. I pull the front cowl out and step inside to check the oil. Much easier for me. That genny is heavy.

Mine is 10 years old and doesn't use any oil. However with only a 3 quart capacity, I do check it often.

Not that it helps current owners because it doesn't look particularly retrofitable but Entegra is now putting a pull cable in the chassis electrical compartment. To open the genny slide, you just pull the handle and the door to the genny pops out. This is for the Aspires and Anthems.

During my recent factory tour, I was surprised to see how many differences I noticed between my 2014 and current builds.

I've got to give Entegra another thumbs up - as I understand it, Tuesday it the day they have an owner's breakfast asking for input before the tour.

So many of the items we see here were raised there and also at Summerfest. The generator issue was one of them and I noticed them taking notes.

Now if we can just get them to hear us on the shades.....

Yep...I lost a shade motor overnight (have two now)...worse, call in on a water drip from the ceiling return duct area inside...had to leave a message...still waiting on a call back. Think I found and fixed the problem myself, but I'd like to know what they fixed with others to compare notes. The CS folks must be busy today:(

If someone were to come up with a retrofit generator slide motor, I would be a buyer.

What other changes did you see on your tour?
Thanks, Steve

Here are just the things I noticed. I really wasn't looking for what had changed.

1) They are now outsourcing the manufacturing of the cargo door. They are using rounded cargo door latches like the ones on the Cornerstone only painted. the inside of the door now has a vacuum molded cover not just on the back but on the sides as well.
2) They now have premade wiring harnesses for the entire coach! I think there are 2 models that haven't been completed. The newest ones.
3) The outside tv door is larger for a larger tv and stereo. This change was done along with the Bose system change.
4) They are now using Samsung appliances exclusively.

Did it appear they were using Samsung appliances in all models?
