Question on Anthem and Aspire

Looking at Anthem and Aspire 44B floor plan. Love the floor plan. Both are great coaches. I built a 44B floor plan on the Entegra web site as close as possible and there was a 70k difference in MSRP price. Question to all of you is the Anthem work the extra money? Same floor plan, same motor.

Thanks

KC

Question on Anthem and Aspire

That is pretty subjective. I don’t know what the differences are currently but compare them and see if any of those differences are important to you. When we looked at them, I bought the Anthem based purely on the shower! I’m a big guy and wanted a shower that felt more house like. With the tile walls and shallow floor pan, the shower head landed nicely above my head rather than in my face or chest! Btw, Entegras in general have the best showers for shower head placement! What’s important to you? If you can live without those things, save yourself $70000..

Folks who bought an Aspire (and that would include me) will say no, folks who bought an Anthem will say yes. Lots more electronics on the Anthem, digital dash, bigger generator (12.5 vs. 10), bigger AquaHot (450 vs. 400). And there are some extra finishes in the Anthem that are very nice. I'm sure there are other differences but those were most of the ones on our list - and I really haven't checked to see what might have changed in the 20's (except for the addition of a baby VegaTouch in the Aspires). We have owned three Aspires (13, 17 and 19) and we find them very comfortable and luxurious for our needs. You may have different needs/wants/concerns that the Anthem may better serve.

I agree with both statements!!

Does the two Inverters make a big difference?

Does going from Aqua Hot 400 to 450 make a bid difference?

I just went thru that same thing. My dealer had a chart showing the standards for each and the differences. This is not complete but is most of it. These are standards on the Anthem that are not on the Aspire. In no particular order.
4 house batteries,2-3000 watt invertors,heated seats,360 cameras,painted slideout graphics,stainless on baggage doors,electric interior shades,automatic OTA antenna,JBL 11 speakers,Vega touch extra functions,mitered cabinet doors,upgrade furniture,20,000 front axle,12.5KW generator,traction control,60MM front shocks,digital dash,blind spot monitor,TPMS,365 front, 315 rear tires,power tilt wheel,450 Aqua hot, outside frig ?.

Hope this helps.

Things have changed again for 2020, but in the past, the following were among the things that Anthem had and Aspire did not:

Air leveling
Stainless trim on bay doors
Central locking of bay doors
150 gals vs 100 gals diesel tank.
Painted trim graphics on ends of slideouts.
Dishwasher standard
450 vs 400 Aqua Hot
Dual inverters
Electric shades.
Extra house batteries standard. AGM batteries versus wet cell batteries.
More items that I don't recall.

Since we have never owned an Anthem it is difficult for us to judge if there’s a difference. I’ll just say that we haven’t missed them. But we did add the extra batteries, the dishwasher and switched the stock front shocks for Koni’s. We also have the extra solar panels and the WiFi Extender and we already had a freezer for the basement. The 19 and newer Aspire has the 150 gallon fuel tank and AGM batteries.

The larger axle and tires offered on the 20 Anthems would have me thinking a little more.

+1 on this - To us the Anthem was worth the extra money - Only you can determine -

The only thing I would want off the same year Cornerstone on our Anthem is the outside entry steps

We have a 2020 Anthem after owning a 2018 Anthem. I can tell you the 20,000 lbs front axle makes a big difference. The 2018 had a 17,000 lbs front axle and with the weight we were carrying the front tires had to be inflated to 125 psi. With the 20,000 lbs front axle carrying the same weight our front tires are inflated to 105 psi. There is no comparison in the ride, 2020 so much smoother.
Take a test drive in both the Anthem and Aspire to see the difference. Especially on I-69 near Charlotte MI...lol.

Is it the axle rating that makes the difference in tire pressure or the upgrade to 365 tires?

When we were trying to make that decision in 2016 (for 2017 model year) we made a spreadsheet of all the differences.

For us we decided that the differences weren't worth it.

Do remember that MSRP $70K becomes less than $50K street price.

Don't know about the current model years but our Anthem came with independent front suspension (IFS). The Aspires of the same year did not. It was a deal maker for us after rumbling down the road with our previous straight axel coaches.

The 365 tires only come on the 20,000 lbs front axle. The 17,000 lbs axle only came with 315 tires. Hence the difference in psi for same weight.

Very subjective question. For us, it was the bigger fuel tank, larger tires, shocks BSM, better aqua hot, hadley air, vega touch and a nicer appointments that moved us to the Anthem
