So my 5 month old Boston Terrier comes in the house with red stuff in her white fur, back of her neck. DW tells me she was under the coach...now I have had to top off the antifreeze twice, looked, no sign of leaks. I have been assured ,in writing, my chassis has the updated radiator ...where did she pick this up... First thing this morning I am under the coach, not an easy task! No leaks found...than I notice rear axel that was greased last month at Spartan...you guessed it ...red grease....

My Boston, Winston, would probably tried to eat the red stuff...he'll eat anything.

By the way, the residue, when it dries, turns white.

Speaking of "Red Stuff" under the coach, have the screw clamps for the Aqua Hot engine loops for the Anthem been added to the newer models or are they spring clamps still being used like were on the Classics?

Same question - I think they changed a couple of years ago, but picking up my new coach this week and will certainly check.

My question is, how to remove the radiator fill cap? It loosens, but doesn't want to come off. Is there a trick?

Yes, keep turning after that first part - harder than you think. You won't break it.

Our coach was completed on 4/30/15. I just checked today and our AquaHot has a few of the standard SS screw hose clamps and a couple of the newer constant torque hose clamps, but none of the earlier spring clamps (and no leaks so far)

Radiator replaced today by Emergency Vehicle Specialists in Hagerstown Maryland. Went in at 7:30 this morning and left at 1 pm job completed. They are a Spartan authorized shop and run a spotless facility. Very impressive. Attached are pictures of the only difference I could see between the old and new radiator. The old one had a mfg date of 12/14. The new one was freshly minted 5/16. Hopefully all's well that ends well.

Thanks for that update Corey. I thought the same thing when I saw the first photo...what spotless shop. If they get the County or City firetruck business, the have to be a good shop.
