I am wondering why you guys don’t switch the house batteries to lithium as in the long run it will save you lots of cash. We are running LiFeBlue 300 amp hour lithium that will give 100% capacity to 5000 cycles. After that the capacity drops to 80%. In over 2 years we have used less than 30 cycles and we boondock 99% of the time.
Just curious 🤣

Entegra Radiator replacement
I had to replace mine in 2020. It cost $9.000.
Extended warranty did "NOT" cover it. You can have it repaired yourself thousands less. Call around for a radiator shop.

I just rebuilt my radiator last year, it was a 2001. I had it rebuilt instead of replaced. Cost $3200 installed. Probably would be more now.

It’s so sad that after 2008 the quality of RVs has gone down continuously. Even when you think they’ve hit rock bottom, the quality keeps getting lower and lower. And now with the supply chain problem, good luck getting any junk parts to put back on your newer motorhome. Quality motorhomes and quality parts are long gone!

Monaco also had a few years of a bad radiator supplier supplying them junk radiators. I guess it can happen to any coach manufacturer.

Have you ever checked the PH of your radiator fluid? Something is really wrong here if radiators are failing so quickly. Are your temperatures consistently high? How many miles or hours between failures? Have you flushed the full system to clean out any corrosion debris? Too much sediment or weak coolant might be a contributor? Or, I guess, just a poor quality radiator. Just seems weird.

Are you using a correct chemical balance in your coolant? There is no reason a radiator should fail at all unless there is a lot of salt on the roads where you drive. The other cause can be using the wrong coolant (this can also damage the engine over time). The engine manufacturer can tell you exactly what you should be putting in the cooling system.

It sounds like a over acidic cooling system! Has anybody checked the antifreeze PH? Was a total engine coolant flush performed? Was a external water condition filter added after the first failure?

It was explained at the beginning of the post the bad radiator that Spartan was installing 2014-2016. It is a know fact in all brand of coaches that used Spartan chassis, Spartan installed junk radiators and those owners are still paying out of pocket. Spartan has never been held liable.

Why Spartan has nevre been held accountable for selling known defective products is beyond me. At $5,000 per occurrence is beyond the cost of it's not worth the the time to take action.
