Radio Lights

The red lights on the left side of my radio stay on all the time. (Menu, etc)

Is this normal and if not how do I turn them off. Sorry if this is a silly question or it should be obvious, but I can't find a way.

Not normal, turn it on and back off.

Emerson, I hate to say this again, but try killing the 12V master switch and see if that will reboot the radio. It works when my nav screen goes goofy.

You only mention the red LED lights on the radio/GPS being on. I had a further problem with the EC entegra coach display always being on. Not sure if you have that also, but someone on here said there was an option in the settings menu which let you turn the display and I think LEDs off when the unit is inactive. I changed that option and now my red LED and the screen goes totally black when inactive. The downside of that is that now the GPS shuts down completely (or at least the screen goes completely black) when you stop for diesel or ...... I still prefer that to the "on all the time" option.

OK - Thanks all.

I turned the ignition to ACC and lifted the top lever on the left side of the steering wheel and the red lights went out.

Turned the ignition to OFF and no lights.

Emerson. This I think means the on off switch on your infotainment system is no functioning. I have the same issue. Was fixed October but now gone again. I have to use the lever on the steering wheel also. It is supposed to be the case that if you push the left knob power will go on or off but is not happening.

Does the On/Off switch work if you take off the black cap? I found that the black cap on the On/Off Button was hitting the bezel so not actually moving. It only has to move a very short way when pushed, but mine wasn't moving at all. I jammed a small wad of paper in the hole in the back of the cap and fixed the problem.

Ah ha - Thanks Bill. I removed the cap (Black, but a silver top) and pressed the stick inside it. Voila!

I had thought that it worked that way on the prvious coach, but never thought to remove the cover. Replaced the cover and it is up against the faceplate of the radio so no joy.

I'll try the other Bill's "mod" as a temporary fix
