Very sorry for your loss. Please accept our condolences.
We stayed a couple of nights at the campground that is next to the Camping World right at the GA/TN border.

I believe a Cabela's just opened off of 75 just south of Chattanooga. I've heard they welcome overnight parking (and, it looks like a huge parking lot).
Sorry for your loss.

We live in Chattanooga, at the Ga/Tn line you have Holiday trav-L-Park easy in/out. A little further up exit 20 in Tn has a Koa right off the interstate.

Just came from Pigeon Forge and drove to Cartersville, GA... 3 hour drive. We're at the KOA exit 296 on I75. We parked in site B10. Worked fine for our 45' motorhome. Easy in and out. I think we're about an hour north of Atlanta now. Seems like it's right on your route, just sayin'. Safe travels.

I stayed at the KOA last weekend on my way back from GA. It was clean and quiet. Good place for some solitude

Sorry for your loss. Went thru that two years ago and coming up again soon with my dad so I know you don't need distractions. Remember getting there in one piece is the important thing so stop and get the rest you need . there is a Walmart at the Berea exit on I75 just north of Knoxville that we have used and it is quite handy to get to as it is in sight of I75. Lots of trucks using the lot too so there is no problem stopping there and a bit more security in numbers. Excellent for a quick break you are talking about.
just reread your post and realized you are coming from the other direction. Sorry. And sorry , once again for your loss.

Tom, my deepest condolences for your loss. I lost my Mom last Dec. and know how hard it is.
We also stay at the KOA north of Atlanta just off of I-75. By the time I get through Atlanta, it's time to chill with a cold one.
If they have put in a new Cabela's as mentioned, they are nice. They are putting in 12ft wide truck and RV sites and welcome slides out, at least the new one in Denver did. I was told all the new stores would be like that.
