Wow, I just beat the buzzer. I recently bought *two* french-door fridges, one for my RV and one for my stick house (GE from Best Buy, LG from Lowes).

The GE is a counter-depth model that's 23.74" wide with the doors off which let it come in my rig's 24" door. It fit perfectly where my Norcold was with very minor modifications.

I got the LG about a month ago.

I'm sort of with LWBAZ on not being so keen on the in-door ice/water feature.

Despite many fixes, our Samsung has been a pain keeping the icemaker functional. Plus it doesn't hold very much ice, enough for the two of us but we always run out when we have guests.

If you think about it, an in-door icemaker is located within the refrigerator compartment creating some engineering challenges. I'm sure this is at least part of the reason for the issues we've seen. Not to mention the space lost inside the fridge compartment. At this point I think I'd be a lot happier with an in-freezer icemaker, the ones I've seen hold a lot more ice, are much less complex and probably a lot more reliable.

For water, if you're going RO anyway, add a dedicated spigot next to the sink.

Also consider the cleaning factor, any drips you get from the in-door system get ugly real quick in hard water areas if you dont keep after them constantly.

It's not just fridges either. Recently in our Sticks and Bricks house our dishwasher of several years decided that it was time to take a permanent vacation. I thought it would be just be a simple matter of going to the local hardware store or Appliance retailer and purchasing your replacement. I was very wrong. After going to several stores and seeing dozens of display models and finding out that none of them were in stock nor likely to be for some time to come I ended up going with what was available. The selection was very small compared to the theoretical choice that I had.
