I think they were indicating they tipped the fill side higher when fueling - and that the Hadley did it very quickly.

The Hadley system doesn’t have the capability of raising one side individually, it’s all or none.

My Coach has a HWH system which allows you the level manually. Front to back and side to side. So indeed I do tip it so the fill side is higher. This can be done as long as the Coach is in neutral with the parking brake set. This can be done in a few seconds and helps to get the tank full without it burping back out the fill.

Thank you for cleaning it up i never mess with that, i see a lot of guys think im crying about milage, Imm one of those osbd if that what it is called. I like to get a diary on my Coach and i log every thing, I know im crazy but for me its fun
been doing it for years, and its fun to look back and see it took me so many hours to go from here to there and so on. Called it what you weill but my first coach i used it totally for business and was told i have to keep accurate records for buss or personal use, It just stuck so i continued on several coaches later no buss use just logging its movements. lets me keep and eye on hrs, and milage for maintenance purposes.
Please no hate message i know what i am already and its not going to change.

I haven't worried about it fueling, but I do raise the right side of the coach when getting a complete dump / flush of the tanks.

You obviously haven’t seen my journal and spreadsheets. 🤣 Every gallon of gas, every campground or overnight, etc. You get the idea.

You're going to make the kids sick when they inherit that and read it.
My parents travel journal was priceless, the fuel journal, not so much. My parents spent less in a month of full timing than I do for a tank of fuel.

I suspect that your parents journal was much better reading than my cryptic notes on a spreadsheet - the only thing that's handwritten is the fuel journal. Maybe I'll rethink some of those notes and see about expanding a few of the fields...I really hadn't thought about it ever being read by the kids one day. I just send them a planning copy to have our itinerary while traveling. And RV Trip Wizard does most of that work for me.

Linda, cleaning out Mom's things just 4 years ago, I even found their GPS. It was all the paper maps from AAA that Dad had all the routes planned out on. All the 35 MM slides of their trips, what a trip down memory lane. They even had the slides of the trips to visit me at the bases I was stationed at in the Air Force, from Alaska to Utah. The good ones have been scanned and put on a DVD, the others went in the trash with the out dated GPS. The hand written travel journal as already been asked for by a nephew. Long story on that one when we see each other again.

Chuck, believe it or not, $3.00 / gallon is a red hot bargain. When it was .29/gallon it was bargain too..... for that era of time. If you use an inflation calculator you will find that things cost about a tenth of what they do today so .30 a gallons is about the same as three dollars today. Enjoy your .29 equivalent. Fuel indeed is a bargain. In Europe it’s currently nearly $7.00 / Gallon.

If you want to spend some time boondocking it may be better to be topped off.

Why worry
10 miles down the road your tank will be down a gallon. We travel from Ontario, Canada to Mesa AZ and journal our fuel. Start mileage, end mileage, total gallons gives me my average mileage. Mountains, deserts and winds all accounted for. 10.11 mpg on 36 ft class A and triton V10.
