yes, engine running. Several post on how to bleed air to keep the on board compressor aired to max. I can't get quite enough pressure to air my front tires.

Yes you can, and many of us do that. However, you can do the drive tires and the tag easily but generally not the front tires as the 120-130 most of us run. Inflation is either very slow or impossible for our standard air lines to deal with. Most of us carry a ViaAir compressor or a pancake (cheaper, much bigger) to deal with steer tire pressures

As pointed out the fitting is a "Automotive" connection. You can also pick up "Universal" female connects that will accept both the "Industrial" (most common fitting) and "Automotive" male fittings.

I installed a hose reel between the slide out tray and the fridge/freezer in the basement. I used a automotive male connecter to connect the reel to the factory fitting. Then have a universal female on the end of the hose. So I should be set for anything I try to connect to it. What I really like about using the hose reel is I do not have a 50' air hose just laying around in bay. Helps keep things neat and organized.
