I will be removing my seats this week and dropping them off. Cost is ~$700 which seems a bot steep, but these are just to soft and offer no support. I'm having the seat, bolsters and middle back repacked along with the leading edge of the seat. Will follow up once they are done

Last time we were in the Middlebury area we ordered new firmer foam kits for the seat bottoms direct from Flexsteel. They are shaped multilayer foam assemblies, I would not want to try and make these from scratch. They delivered from Dubuque, IA to the Flexsteel shop in Leesburg, IN (they will do the install for you there as well) and we picked it up. Total cost for the foam kits for both seats was around $200. I think Entegra wanted about $1000 per seat. I haven't installed them yet but it's on the list for this summer. The tech in Leesburg gave lots of advice and even provided a bunch of hog rings. Let me know if the Flexsteel contact info is needed. A friend completed his install with the same foam kits and here is the info he texted me (thanks Ray):

"Finished the passenger chair. Big difference from original foam. It seemed more difficult to reassemble because of all the wires and vacuum hose. If not properly placed you risk damaging when you adjust the seat.

You need to chose your hog rings carefully. Apparently there are "C" style and "D" style. They used "C" style on my chair. I used the DeWalt 11/16" size which seem to work just find. You will find the new foam almost to big. You will need a 1/2" torx socket to remove the seat belt do you remove the cushion. My seat torx bolt was torqued so much that I needed to use my impact wrench. The bolt also has blue loctite on the treads.

The order of disassemble: remove arms, remove back (be sure to disconnect vacuum hose), remove bottom shroud to expose wires, disconnect wires, remove bolts to seat assemble (note location of bolt holes on foot rest), remove the seat belt from seat base, remove seat, then start working into the foam removable."

Thanks VD. I will update the board when the first seat is done. I am pulling the passenger seat first, then the drivers.

My driver seat seems like it is tilted very slightly to the right (in toward the center). Is that what you were talking about? Is something similar what you fixed with a shim? Where did the shim go.... on the floor where it bolts in or up in the seat attachment mechanism?

Gary

Mine also seems to tilt slightly to the right (center). I haven’t thrown a level on it....but it is noticeable.

Gary, iirc, there are four bolts which adjust that, located under the seat facing upwards. I’ll confirm when I remove the seat this weekend

Update
I brought the passenger seat to a custom upholsterer. Disconnecting the electronics was pretty straight forward. I just marked them with a color pen prior to disconnecting them. I got the seat back yesterday with new, firm foam in it and it's awesome. Very supportive, unlike the soft cushy OEM foam. That said, these seats are heavy as all hell! It took two very strong men to lift it into and out of the coach. Not an easy task. The cost for the passenger seat was $650. I could take pictures, but there is little visible difference. I'll be bringing the drivers seat in a a few weeks; after our Watkins glen trip
