Repair Entry Door Latch
Has anyone found a way to dress up or repair the entry door latch? This always something that has bugged me since buying the coach. I’ve tried super glue but it doesn’t seem to work. Appreciate any suggestions folks may have. As you can tell I’m running out of “self isolation” projects [emoji1]

It looks from the picture that the bolt/lug that attaches to the fixed jamb is too long and is catching on the interior door panel causing the tear. If so, something is out of adjustment but whether or not it can be easily fixed is another issue.
I'd first look at the bolt/lug itself and see if it can be shortened or adjusted further into the fixed jamb. Since the door closes in an arc, perhaps only a small portion of the bolt is hitting and it can be ground down a bit so the outward swing does not catch on the panel.
Without seeing the bolt itself, it's hard to offer a solution. Perhaps it can be simply removed, shortened slightly, then reattached.

Thanks for your comment. Judging from the lack of responses, no other Entegra owners feel like this is an issue. I’ve seen much less expensive coaches with a nice trim piece covering that area. My solution was to trim off the excess fabric, touch up the metal with black paint and call it a day.

I have never seen an Entegra door looking like that. I agree that something is very wrong with the door latch setup in your coach. Your door is abnormal and you should discuss it with your dealer or with the factory.

I agree with what has been said so far, What you have is a ill-fitting latch! Not sure why but as Marc mentioned, you might show this to your dealer to see what can be done.

It looks like this is a PPL door. If so, they have wonderful customer service with lots of info to share by phone or email.
They walked me through the task of repairing my door air lock which none of the local repair shops wouldn't attempt.
Good luck!

Thanks for your suggestions. I guess I was not clear on my post. While my latch looks ratty, I was hoping someone had created a trim piece to cover that latch area. Entegra chooses to leave it uncovered and it just looks chintzy. Many non-Entegra coaches I’ve been in have a nice cover over that area to give it a finished look. I trimmed the material and will touch up the metal with some black paint. This should make it “disappear. Thanks again.
