Thanks Rollin101. The sound still comes on with just fan on. I did get up on the roof and take off the shroud. The condenser fan (visible through the shroud) looked fine.

Yep, you had a squirrel cage evaporator fan come apart. They were pretty weak for a few model years. It’s under the half round dome and easy to change. They just have one screw in the end and a few taps it’ll be off.
The new ones have six plastic welds instead of three where the two halves are fastened together.
If you need any help send me a pm.
I would order one from Airexcl, you’ll get it sooner than from Entegra. Might even try MHSRV their parts are usually pretty reasonable. I think they’re about $18.

I suggest ordering 2 of them so you have a spare as I had to replace 2 in the last couple years

Thanks again Rollin101 and Phil. Have placed the order. Fortunately, weather is going to be cool over the next couple of days here in Maine. Hoping that nothing else got damaged in the housing. It was a really loud bang when the blower imploded. It is going to rain for the next couple of days so it may be difficult to inspect.

Iím sure it didnít damage anything else. Iíve changed a few, mine and others, over the years and never found any damage other than pieces of the wheel lying in the duct and some little black pieces on the floor.

While replacing the squirrel cage, take the opportunity to clean the cooling coils under the inside cover of the AC unit if they have not been serviced. Need something to keep the cleaner and water out of the ducts - like towels or something plastic. Buy a cleaner on line, and several videos on how to do - fairly easy. Can clean the outer set as well (don't know the proper names for each one, have just cleaned them)

Thanks Mark for the suggestion. Based on the blowout for the unit here (http://old.rvcomfort.com/rvp/pdf_doc...609c__1015.pdf) I believe you are suggesting parts 8 (Indoor Coil) and 22 (Outdoor Coil) be cleaned out?

Are there any other servicing recommendations for these units?

That is about all the servicing that you can do on these units since they are sealed systems, and replace some of the parts like you are doing when they fail. Hopefully it will run for you for a long time. The cleaning of the coils is all I have done in regards to service.

The blower wheel came in and was successfully replaced. The cooling coils were pretty clean although there were some wood shaving on the outside of the inner cooling fins. All ACs are now running before the holiday weekend. Thanks again to all for pointing me in the right direction.
