Replace sink

Has anyone replaced sink in Entegra 27a? Caulking continues to fail. Thinking of going to overmount. The two sink covers got destroyed by water. Replaced with custom cut cutting boards (thank you son). But we continue to get water under caulk?

I am trying to understand how you are getting water damage. Below is a picture of my sink in our 27A. For the covers to get destroyed, the tap must be dripping, and that wouldn't be a sink issue. Or are you filling the sink so full that it goes past the upper lip and has a chance to get between the counter and the top of the sink? There is a little bead of clear caulking there, but the water shouldn't ever get that high so that the sink overflows. Or are you travelling with water in the basin? Then it sloshes around and soaks the underside of your covers?

Or am I misreading your dilemma altogether?

No, but re-caulking https://www.rvrepairclub.com/video/k...v-sink-007792/ should be straight forward. By the way the sink is a Lippert Components 25 x 15 x 6 single bowl R10 SS304 undermount part no.719426.

It might not be the most convenient position to get under the sink, but it would be worth the effort to reseal the sink and be sure the sink flanges/clamps are properly seated and tight. If your original sink covers were wood, any water sitting on that inner lip will cause the edges of the cover to darken/discolor.

The main problem is the counter product that tucks in with the sink has become damaged when caulk was taken out. It’s thin and brittle. It’s like that needs stuck down before caulking. It was apparently heat formed down into sink cavity then sink was put in. Just caulking without gluing down counter product was a huge mess. Water got under, caulk came up. This is why I’m considering just putting a top mount sink.

You don't give any information regarding your coach. Are you still under warranty? have it replaced.
