Replacement of house batteries on a Reatta Embark on K1

Has anyone here on the forum experienced the need of having to replace their house batteries on a Reatta / Embark on a K-1 chassis?

Any advice or experience if you could share it here or PM me would be great.

I’m quickly drawing to the conclusion that despite the batteries being three-ish years old that we’re going to have to replace them.

Sometimes even pics can be confusing where cables cross and smaller ga wires get covered / hidden.
I saw label each w painters tape / sharpie and draw a diagram with each cable # shown as its removed. Then you know exactly where each cable goes. Sometimes with different length cables getting them back in the correct locations can be anbinvolved trial & error exercise.

I use a Brother label maker to mark each cable and take a photo.

Do you have any recommendations on L 16 batteries? I believe that’s what we need to purchase.

Lifelines are top of the line, but hard to find right now. My replacement choice will be FallRiver. Right up there in statistics but not made in the US.

UPDATE. - opened up that compartment and discovered that in 2019 (18 when it was built, ours was the 11th 39T2 built the year they introduced the Embark off the Reatta line) and were using FullRiver AGM 6V 400 AH batteries. I think I’ve tracked replacements down to a distributor and their website is pricing the $632. Cash and carry.

I need to confirm that tomorrow.
