Back in the 80's the company I worked for provided wire and cable for Boeing commercial aircraft. We kept inventory on site and monitored levels and restocked accordingly. We made all inventory production and delivery planning, not Boeing.
In the 90's my company developed POS software for the military (AAFES) parts stores and service centers. We maintained all inventories worldwide, both for the parts stores and the service bays. Inventories were updated daily and transmitted to a central location where shipping decisions were made. It was complicated because certain parts were local only, others via standard shipping and some by container so big time shipping delays.
I've been retired 15 years now, so much of my knowledge is way out of date. But if you want any input I'd be glad to contribute anything I can. You have my text number and email. Any contributions would be free and maybe worth only that much. But if I can help....

Brett, appreciate all you are doing at the end of the delivery and follow on warrantee. Should it work, I hope that they will allow you some leverage to move these leviathans forward in another way. Sad to say, you are fixing this whole issue at the end of the line. Somehow, someway, this RV industry will not really resolve the high cost and frustration associated with Coach quality at delivery and subsequent warrantee expense until they adopt modern quality processes (and I am not talking ISO 9000 stuff), both in their plant and from OEM suppliers, and “just in time” logistics practices with same. The cost/benefit curve is enormous in payback….they just won’t listen to those of us with these expertises…sadly!

I am so glad I live in North Texas and chose NIRVC as my dealer. This is an amazing update.

Steve, I'm very confident Todd Springs (NIRVC GM in Atlanta) and his team will do an excellent job for you. We live in Arizona, but a particular set of circumstances prompted us to take delivery of our 2018 Cornerstone at Todd's facility in Atlanta. Great people and a great experience!

Interesting/informative article on NIRVC's commitment to changing the paradigm:

For those of you who were speculating about the identify of the first motorhome manufacturer to commit, this article provides the answer!

Automobile dealers have been doing business that way for many decades.
In the vast majority of cases, dealers are authorized to make the determination of whether a repair covered by warranty.
The manufacturer can revoke that privilege if a dealer's warranty expense is out of line.
The manufacturer can also require prior authorization for certain repairs.
The manufacturer can require that parts replaced under warranty be held for manufacturer rep to scrap.
Again, this has been the process in the automotive field since I started in it in the 1980's. It AIN'T ROCKET SCIENCE.
Streamlining the process is good for everyone-- manufacturer, dealer and customer.
Those RV manufacturers who get in early on streamlining the process will gain customer loyalty and very likely reduced warranty expense by eliminating all the extra steps. Dealer profits will go up because they can bring a coach in and fix it, not look at it, make calls, wait for an authorization, get the coach back in..............

Now that Newmar's name is out there and this is getting around, want to take bets as to how long before Entregra gets on the band wagon? I am going to guess Entregra has to step lightly since MHSRV is the Texas Distributer for Entregra.

MHSRV does present a problem I am sure, but NIRVC has locations elsewhere so I agree that Entegra won't be far behind.

American Coach is doing a lot of things right as the rebuild. I had forgotten about them, but that makes a lot of sense.
I have heard about the QC on the line, and how they will shutdown the line for QC issues so that it can be repaired and corrected on future.
There is a lot of potential for improvement, and its nice to see things moving in that direction.

Much needed change and the timing is right. Very impressed that someone is minding the most frustrating part of our favorite pastime.

I've spent some time at American Coach recently and can see why American Coach would be on board with Brett's plan. They've come a long way in quality and are definitely a brand to consider. It makes sense to align their service offerings with NIRVC.

I have watched this program grow and it is now coming into a reality for the end users, the MH owners. It is my believe that the manufactures that continue with the old service method of letting customers coach sit on lots for sometimes months waiting for parts and approvals are going to wind up like Yugos.
Yugos had the same business practice, ship hundreds of thousand of cheap cars to the US with no service or parts and they would not invest on ongoing EPA rules. After that experience I think a lot of RV buyers will look to NIRVC to be there purchasing dealer and be at the front of the lines for service. We have a a record breaking boom in RV sales.....where will they go for service once those coaches are put into use? Many will not go back to the Yugo type seller dealers.
My next coach, if there is one, will be from NIRVC and of one of the manufactures that is onboard with my choice of dealers, NIRVC. If I have to wait 2 months for parts or approval on a new coach, shy would I consider it for a new purchase?
