RiverPark Radio/Nav Screen Touch

I have the older (Classic) Riverpark Radio/Nav unit in my 2013 (I think the 2015's and up have a newer version). My touch screen has slowly become non-responsive to touch on about half of the screen. (can't re-calibrate it either) I have read all the posts on here and see many had complaints about their similar or same unit, and many have changed to different brand.

I contacted Riverpark, and they were responsive giving me the typical things to try, remove fuse for 3 minutes etc, and nothing seemed to work. I somehow got into my phone pairing just to see if I was going to be able to play some music on my phone since tuning the Sirius can sometimes be a challenge touching the screen. My Android phone was having a very difficult time connecting to the unit. There was also something else connected in the list of paired devices. I deleted both of them, re-booted the radio, and paired my phone again, with success. The touch screen also working 100%....hum

Anyone have tech advice or knowledge on a blue-tooth pairing interfering with the touch screen partially working? I am taking a 3 week trip beginning Sunday, so I will see how it works.
