Not a rookie. I'd say now "seasoned" RV-er. I have a lovely scar on my neck from my old Monaco. The Entegra seems to bite less. What I mean is the slides are not directly above the hookups and places I frequent.

This reminds me of the dreaded Cessna waffling, caused by walking into the corrugated aluminum edges of the wings and flaps of a small Cessna. Ball caps are definitely a good idea.

I have only 1 slide so my solution may be too simple. I only store things in the under slide basements, that come out before the slide does, and go back in,after the slide does. The only hitch is a sudden shower then "Ouch".
