That's a good route and very scenic. We usually stay in Victor, ID then travel across Teton Pass to Jackson and then on to Moran, Dubois, etc on our way to Buffalo. Teton Pass isn't that bad and our Cornerstone climbs it easily and descends it easily, due to the 3 speed Jake brake and 15 liter engine. We've done it in our 400 HP 42' Allegro Bus as well but it's a slow climb from Victor to the summit before dropping down into Jackson.
When leaving Victor one September it had snowed and Teton Pass wasn't something I wanted to try, what with icy roads up top. So we took the route you just detailed, except in reverse order. It's a nice scenic drive and no white knuckled. When you cross Toqwotee Pass (between Dubois and Jackson) keep your eyes open. The area is known for moose but we most always see Grizzly near the top of the pass and there is plenty of room to pull over. No narrow cliffside roads on this route and the grades aren't as steep as Teton Pass.
Here's one we saw on Togwotee.
