Looking for route suggestions and one night stopover point to go from Maryland to Shipshewana, IN.

Thinking maybe just bite the bullet and take the PA turnpike and I-80...

Any/all suggestions appreciated - thanks.

Possible stopover at Portage rest area on the Ohio Turnpike. Reasonably priced, and not out of your way at all.

The Ohio Turn Pike will beat you to death. If you go that way, drop down on Hwy 20 that parallels the turnpike and it takes you to within 6 block of Entegra's front door.

I second that, 20 goes thru some nice small towns in Ohio and is mostly four lane and has character with a few road side stands along the way.
Better than the Ohio Turnpike that will beat your coach up and you won't have to deal with Ohio Turnpike construction. Just went that way in
June, nice.

Sounds good guys - think I should try to get on 20 at Norwalk, OH, or is there a better place to drop onto 20?

That should work, that would be US 250 south to 20.
You may have to get back on turnpike east of Toledo as 20 was closed west of Ohio 420 in June.
Turnpike was not to bad from there into Indiana.

The Portage rest area allows over night stops?? Anything around Pittsburg for the reverse trip back to MD?? I'm thinking about a factory tour.

There's Mercer KOA at the intersection of I 80 and I 79 north of Pittsburgh. Don't know anything about it since we live in the Pittsburgh area. Pittsburgh is notoriously bad for campgrounds for big rigs.
