running on 30A
Hi folks,
Planning a trip to Calgary this summer, staying at the Bow Rivers Edge RV resort. They only have a 30amp pull through available. Is that enough to run the coach? Perhaps only two AC's at any given time? Will the Induction stove work with 30 amp?
All feedback much appreciated

Two ACs and not much else.
Is the induction stove 120 volts ? Thats all you'll get on 30 amps.

Just checked and am wondering just how much air conditioning a person would need in Calgary. The link below heads to a webpage showing averages there. July shows to have daily temps moving between 50°F and 74°F (average 62°F).
Annual Weather Averages Near Calgary
Depending on where parked, I'd imagine one a/c unit would more than do the trick during the warmer parts of the day. You can't turn everything on at once but 30 amp service should work out fine if everything in the circuit is up to par.

That's what I was thinking also, warm but not hot days and cool nights.

See this post on setting incoming power to 30 amp. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/usi...ml#post5914984 Two AC will be pushing it. If you have the Progressive management system, it will cut AC's off if you are overloading the system. It that happens, item will have to be cut back. I can run one AC on 20 amp in storage, but I have to turn the refrigerator off.

When you say this summer...what dates are you talking about?
We headed to Calgary on our first trip to Canada. We hit there on July 1st.
Guess what...that's Canada's 4th of July. We wound up in Edmonton before we could find any space at a RV park.
We are wiser now...LOL
30 amp should be fine as the temperatures aren't all that high and one air conditioner should do the job.
