Anyone know if BLM lands out west are open? When it gets really hot here in AZ I was thinking of moving to Page AZ on BLM land. Just a thought.

No way. Too many transients and too many people that don't care. They were all out partying this last weekend.

Texas state troopers are at the Louisiana border checking travelers...
We canceled all plans until May and even then it is iffy... but hoping the worst is over by then...
Not a surprise to me that the Urban areas are hotspots...

I have to agree with that, people that come here are NUTS and why we are now #5 on the nation with infected cases. Sad part, some of those will leave carrying the infection with them. They just closed all Hotels etc. reservation for 90 days in Ft Myers. Personally I wish they would close the entire state for about 2 years.

We are supposed to go to Indio California (Palm Springs area) in a few weeks and will most likely cancel since we are afraid we will not be able to get back home into Texas after being in California. Not sure what they are checking at the state line that direction, and if you need proof where you have been.

Hate it, but not going is the right thing to do.

We cancelled our trip to Yellowstone and Glacier NP as well. All the campgrounds refunded our deposits no problem. I was willing to take a credit or even loose it. It is tough to lose a quarter of your yearly revenue.

We just got an email yesterday from COE that our Table Rock Lake (Branson Mo) reservation for the end of May was cancelled and they refunded our money.

Campendium has comprehensive closure info

The COE and FL state parks cancelled all of our pending reservations and money was refunded automatically, however in one case for a COE park the online reservation fee was not refunded automatically and we had to contact recreation.gov to get it credited.

Alabama State Parks are currently still open. We had to cancel a reservation at Meaher SP near Mobil and they would not issue a refund, but provided a credit good for 1 year.

Campendium.com has excellent info regarding closures across the industry:

We had a tour to Washington DC through Fantasy RV Tours and FMCA. They said that they postponed the tour to later dates. We asked about a refund since we do not know if their new dates will work for us since they are so far out and they said they would refund our money except for $600.00 for canceling. This will be the last time we use them.

Companies all over America are doing this. Some airlines who are required by law to make refunds if they cancel your flight are refusing to do so. Many bloodied companies simply do not have the cash to make refunds.

I wouldn't let them have the last word. Suggest to them that you're going to get in touch with the Better Business Bureau. Lots of people think the BBB is a waste of time but the merchants don't like the idea that their name might show up on a negative BBB comment.

Check to see if the Stimulus Package allows this. If not it's fun to threaten them of being turned it as their service (side trips, group dinners, etc) have been canceled by govt mandate.

UPDATE:

Florida as of 5 PM today has gone to a s Stay at Home order and all over 65 a Must Stay at Home Order. RV Parks are still considered essential, but clubhouse and social gathering areas to be closed and probably any and all tourist attraction will be closed. If you are still coming to FL check with your park first, they may just shut down because everything else is. Also self quarantines are still in effect if your are coming from a hotpot area. People are not excited about tourist right now.
