RV Park heads up.

Just had an email from a friend of mine that owns an RV park in No CA. His County has closed RV Parks to stays shorter that 30 days. No drive ins, over the phone reservations only and must be 30 days or longer.

If you have travel plans in the near future check what those parks are mandated to do, they have no control. https://www.kampklamath.com/

The notice I posted just came out today. Yesterday, it was business as usual. In Lee County FL the County Commissioners are meeting in the morning to see if they will impose a Stay at Home order which will close everything non essential. That may effect the RV parks as well.

There is currently a push by the residents to close everything here in Lee County. Seems some the high infected state residents are not following their stay at home order, instead think it's OK to escape to FL.

I hope this link works, I haven't had much luck doing this. It should go to an Excel spreadsheet with a state by state list of the status of RV parks. I believe it was created and is being updated by RVIA (I think that's the right initials). It was in the newsletter from RVtravel.com so, if my link doesn't work, maybe another on this forum can post the actual link. Here's the link https://arvc-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g...me=7uNWTTbU10g

Linda it worked, good input. FL in yellow highlight has the Governors orders with stipulation. I have a feeling we are going to see more regulations as time passes. Lee County cases doubled since last Sunday, County Commissioners meeting tomorrow. Just heads up for those that are going to be traveling in the near future.

At this point travel from municipality to municipality for the next 21 days is a bad idea. This is virus is transmitted by people moving. If we all don't move for 21 days this stops. If we keep moving it does too. Some of us can't not move (truckers) but everyone in a MH could stay in place. So please, unless you have very specific needs and aren't safe where you are. Stay. Till April 15+. Even if you aren't in an ideal park you are safer than moving to a new one.

Read some of the Medical Health Officers reports from the source. For example here is the BC one which has been generally regarded as fair, honest and fairly effective. https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2020HLTH0077-000484

Is this report just for the entegra owners? Why not put it where it will do the most good, in the Camping Locations, Plans & Trip Reports forum.
Thanks,
Indiana Journey

Done. Here is an update that was on this the Governors update this
morning.

In addition, I-10 and I-95 into FL now have check points set up for people traveling from hot spot areas. A two week quarantine will be required with follow up by local police. The Gov. has asked for retired law enforcement officers to come back to duty to help with enforcement. I am guessing there is going to be a traffic jam at those interstates check all of the vehicles.
Good idea not to come to FL without a place to self quarantine. As Driveby said, not a good idea to travel anywhere right now.

I am afraid that 21 days is just the down payment.

Leaving Florida on Wednesday the 1st of April. Spending a couple of weeks near Memphis. Hoping this thing will play out. Trying to get to north central Minnesota hopefully a safe place. Nightmare is that they close state borders. This is not a good time for us full timers.

Can you stay in FL? Safer for all of us. Movement just extends this mess.

Difficult times indeed, especially for fulltimers. After having all our March and April state and federal park reservations cancelled due to mandatory closures and no where to go for the long term, we bee lined it from where we were in Orange Beach, AL back to our summer spot in RI about 5 weeks earlier than planned.

We self quarantined the entire trip (and still are), doing only one curbside grocery pickup at a Walmart along the way. We overnighted 6 times and had no problems finding campgrounds to stay at along our route. The policies at most of them were to call ahead to make a reservation and pay, then at arrival proceed directly to the assigned site or pickup paperwork left outside. There was zero human contact and we were very careful handling any paperwork, site utilities, etc. At that time (last week or so) some of the states we passed thru such as VA had officially deemed campgrounds "essential".

As we passed into RI on Saturday (with our FL plates) we were greeted by the National Guard at a checkpoint, questioned and advised we must self-quarantine for 14 more days. Originally the stop order was for NY vehicles but has now been extended for all out of state vehicles.

Things are changing rapidly and I suspect we were lucky that things went fairly smoothly and are glad to be somewhere we can stay for a while. Our advice would be to stay put if you already have a long term spot and if you don't, find one and get there ASAP. If you have no choice but to move, self quarantine.

The one bright spot was cheap diesel, we paid as little as $1.59/gal in TN with the TSD/EFS card. PA had the highest fuel prices along our route, approximately $2.20 TSD price was the lowest we noted. The additional TSD card bonus is that no human contact is required to fuel up, but the pumps themselves are likely transmission points so take precautions.

Rob, excellent on the road report. I believe more states are going to have more National Guard enforcement as too many hot spot areas residents are escaping their own stay at home orders. It is a shame that others are only thinking of themselves and continue to spread this. We have that problem here in FL, big time.

Robert, the President mentioned yesterday in his address that MN was becoming another hot spot area. Might check the status and any orders for your destination. The link show cases by county. https://www.health.state.mn.us/index.html

Some campgrounds in Southern California are canceling any previous registrations till the end of April. Guess we will just sit tight for another few weeks on blm land in Quartzsite, AZ

This place is packed still for this time of year. Everyone be safe out there
