Our daughter lives in Raleigh and we went to see grandkids. Stayed at Jordan Lake State Park. Not great but not bad either. They do close the gates at 10 pm and let no one in or out so prior planning is required. Water and electric hookups with a dump station.
Second the idea of the fairgrounds, more than adequate and nice folks. We had to leave our coach there and fly out on business for a few days. They told us not to worry they wold keep an eye on it. JMHO
