I wouldn't swear to it but I believe the a/c's are programmed to come on line at staggered intervals so as not to create a large startup load. Someone who knows for sure should chime in.

I was told this also by RVP. There is a 30/60/90 second delay on each compressor so they all wont engage at the same time even if all three blowers started simultaneously. I had called because my rear hp takes 1 minute and forty seconds for the compressor to kick in. Not a problem unless you've just stepped out of the shower and it blows cool air on you till the heat kicks in.
