Being from Buffalo, NY having moved to VT 2yrs ago I tend to believe the Buffalo dealership has a ton of competition with Colton RV. Ballantyne RV, Camping World and Ballards all within about 5 miles of each other forces honesty and supreme customer service the people in Albany think they have a corner on the market as Alpin Haus is the only competition.
We FINALLY just purchased our first TT this month from a dealership here in VT GREAT deal and better customer service. We were about to give up the search thinking our options were in Albany. We wanted a dealer we were close enough to if we ever needed service. Personally I would never ever walk into Albany RV again.

The beauty of living in this country is choices and being able to walk into any business establishment and walk out whether you buy or not. JMHO, but buying a motorcoach, and particularly an Entegra, and buying a travel trailer are two totally different experiences. While one should not expect any difference in customer interaction, those of us that have worked with the Strollo brothers in Orlando, Albany, Buffalo, or Des Moines on purchases of Entegras have had good experiences on the purchase side. And they make deals....a dealership that can sell over 100 Entegras and Newmars at Hershey know how to deal and cut margins. I can't imagine that they would not deal on travel trailers and fifth wheels as well, and they sell one high quality trailer out of their Orlando dealership, Airstream.

Their senior delivery tech, who also works show set up and delivery of coaches sold at shows, Mark, is outstanding and works out of Albany, I believe. The Strolls biggest shortfall is in the service arena, lacking space and service bays in some of their locations, which I think they are working on. As with all dealerships, I kinda doubt that pay as a repair tech is high and it certainly takes years to develop the tech knowledge for all the OEM on these coaches. Both Entegra and Newmar are working hard to improve this knowledge level. JMHO

Dave really hits the mark with his comments. I've known Mark, Don, and to a much lesser extent Matt for a number of years now and they have been top notch all the way down the line. They know they have a problem with service departments, but it seems like that is the bone of contention with almost every RV dealership. On sales and customer service they have been outstanding for me.

We bought our Berkshire from them and I would definitely buy from them again. We shopped our rig all over the US and Buffalo RV and Mark Strollo beat the next best deal by thousands and that includes Lazy Days and Motorhome Specialists. As we look to the next step we are looking only at Entegra and Newmar because that is what they sell. As to the other dealers in the Buffalo area, Camping World seems to not have any more than one or two diesels at anytime and Colton is, well, let's just say that their reputation is spotty at best.

I purchased the motorhome in my signature last August from Albany RV. Buying used may be different than buying used and here is my experience. I received a very good price on the coach and was very happy with Albany RV at the beginning. There were some issues with the coach and Mark gave me a song and dance about "they are a family business and that I should trust him". Well that is not how they treated me. There service department is very sub par and I needed to have many issues re-repaired at another place. Mark was very unresponsive and hard to deal with. I had to push very hard to get what was promised to me for the service that was done and they tried very hard to wiggle out of doing things that were promised.

That being said I would never buy an RV from them where I needed to take delivery at their shop. I would buy if I could get a factory delivery. I would make sure that everything they promise gets put down in writing. Lastly, I would not trust them to "be there for you", they will not. The more you need them the less they will be responsive, maybe they are just to busy.

There is a saying in business "Price, Quality, Service; Pick two". They are very aggressive on price and the rest is a big question mark. I think for Albany RV they you are only picking one, price.

Funny I pretty much told the same story during the summer of 2013, some things don't ever change.
How long does it take to fix a problem? (ie service shortcomings):that is;
if you really want to fix it?

Just picked up 2015 anthem 44b from Orlando. Very happy with the delivery and the people there. Our sales woman terry Meyers was top notch. She bent over backwards to make us happy. Try her you will be very happy with her

We went to RV One Albany 2 yrs ago looking for our first TT been tent campers forever we didn't have a clue what we wanted the only thing I knew was what weight I could tow well the sales lady (girl maybe 20 yrs old) kept telling us that the TT my wife really liked
was towable and we should put a deposit on it TODAY because it was the last unit in stock I kept saying yeah but its at our limit needless to say after sitting down with her and giving a deposit I went home 2 hrs away and did my research well glad I did cancelled the order waited 6 weeks to get my deposit back and decided to never walk in there again. Long story short and after visiting more dealerships than I can remember we finally found what we want at a PRICE we feel great about but ...Just purchased last week and promptly have it stored in the driveway.....Never ever been used as a devoted skier and a ski instructor its really tough looking at the TT and knowing we have 6 months until we can camp.

we also had terry for a saleswoman on our 2014 anthem. She was very knowledgeable and very helpful.I would recommend her highly .We had some problems and were told to deal with a fellow out of the Albany office who handled entegra issues for all the branches.Lets just say I was less than impressed with him. After I decided to get back to dealing with the folks in orlando things got resolved to our satisfaction.

Any of us that are in business will tell you that in today's environment the toughest area is personnel. Finding people that have the skill set and the basic DESIRE to work is a daunting task. Add to it the complexities of an RV with all the different systems and configurations and finding that prince from a sea of toads becomes even more difficult. I can tell you that the dealership knows it has a problem with the service department and they have been trying to resolve it. Finding the right people is the tough part.

Picked up our Newmar BayStar on their grand opening day. Nice facility but only 3 service bays there maybe still use old facility bays.

I'm really getting nervous about picking up my Aspire in Albany this May.... They have the issues on the PDI and I am getting very concerned they may not be done when I get there in May... My salesperson is in Orlando... Albany is 3 hours away from home... Oh boy....

I dealt with them in August picking up my Newmar.
I live 20 miles south of Albany and would be glad to go with you for your PDI.
