RVOne in Des Moines IA
Has anyone had any experience with delivery and/or service at the Des Moines Iowa location of RVOne? We will be traveling our westward trek and thinking that picking up our new 2016 Anthem there will save us time rather than their other locations. I've searched the forums but haven't found any comments. Wondering if they deal more with the Jayco campers than the Entegra motorhomes.

We considered Iowa back in 2013 with our Anthem...I guess to me it really doesn't make any difference as you have been through it once and know what to do and how to approach delivery. I would say this...we chose to go with Orlando instead, as we decided we were going to start our journey in Florida. It was December, and we are darn glad we did. We simply drove to visit the kids in Omaha before delivery in Orlando...major blizzard closed I80 in Iowa and shut down Des Moines for three days.
So I guess I'd say, depends on when you delivery is scheduled...anytime but Winter, I'd say go for it. Saved you 2+ tanks of fuel, depending on where you are headed next. OTOH, if you want to spend a couple months in FL, or NY, then take delivery there. They can adjust up to about thirty days prior to delivery. Good luck.

Flora- I seem to remember someone posting that they picked up their Entegra there within the last year, but can't recall who it was. Maybe they will chime in.
Hope it works out whatever you decide on.

Flora, we picked up our 15 Aspire in Des Moines. As stated above you can pick the location you want for delivery. Des Moines was the most convenient. The shop is very small, but the service and walk through was excellent. They do not try to rush anything and make sure all your questions are answered. The one thing I thought was a little strange though was they didn't give any trinkets, no coffee mugs, sweatshirts, T shirts, nothing. It wasn't a big deal, just a little strange. I would buy, and take delivery, from them again. Good Luck.

Thanks, Dave. Were you able to spend a night or two on the premises testing things out, or did you go to a campground nearby? If so, where? Glad to get such a good report. We thought our coach would be ready mid to late September, and we wanted to get to Seattle by the first of Oct. Doesn't look like that is going to happen. We are coming out of Pittsburgh and picking it up in Des Moines will save us a few days.

The location is small and located in a industrial part of town. There is however a beautiful RV park Timber Line RV park not to far away, I stayed there couple of weeks ago in my coach

We picked up our 2014 DLQ there. Great experience. Bought from Teri Myers at the Orlando location. We pulled a trailer full of everything from our old mh. They helped unload it and put boxes where we wanted them. Dropped off the u haul trailer and then we started the walk through. No rush whatsoever. John took all the time we needed. I videoed the whole process on our iPad. Turned out to be very handy. We stayed on their lot then left for Florida the next day. When the Cornerstone comes into focus we will go to Iowa again. A friend has done this twice and is planning on doing it once more for a CS.

Flora, there isn't very much room, or facilities, at the shop lot to park. What they did for us was give several options on area camp grounds, let us pick the one we wanted, then made a call for reservations. We wanted to spend at least one night, and a couple days, in the new coach just to check everything out. We didn't find any small things that need attention right away, but there were a few bigger Entegra things that we are going back to the factory to have redone, but nothing that prevents us from using the coach. I am sure you will be very happy with Des Moines RV One. Take care.

Now that we are "seasoned" Entegra owners, we just want to make sure that everything is OK before setting off crosscountry. We are assuming they have a decent service dept. Hopefully, their Wash & Deliver quality control will be just that, and no worries. Will stick around for a night or two to make sure.

We are picking up our new to us 2011 Newmar Ventana at RVOne in Des Moines tomorrow.
Any suggestions on their demo and instructions?
This is our first MH and I tend to be overly cautious, any suggestions will be helpful.
We bought through Terry Meyers in Orlando and so far experience has been great.
Thanks

Actually, it's located in a commercial/residential area.
