A question about the noise factor

I replaced the original blades with the first "B" series because of the noise generated by the originals. The "B"s don't show any cracking even with heavy use her in Florida, but I'm still perturbed by the noise. Does anybody who has replaced their "B"s with "D"s noticed any further reduction in the noise?

Just replace the B's with the D'S. Noise is about the same. The B'S were less than a year old. Did show signs of cracking?

C310 how did you replace the motors without removing the AC from the roof?
Was told that the bolts could fall out on the roof when taking the motors off.

There are studs screwed up through the housing, then the mounts screw on to the studs, then the motor mounts on the short studs epoxied to the top of the mounts. Nothing falls out the bottom by just taking the motor off. Noel

Roosting birds/alarm sounding in bedroom . . . . gone
Brian,
Our bedroom A/C with the original 6 blade fan has from time to time the faint"Whale Wars" siren. I was surprised to hear that replacing the fan blade corrected that problem. I thought for sure it was a bearing starting to go out. I guess it is time for me to make a phone call as soon as we are parked long enough to get a replacement. Thanks for this post.

Hey Noel, mine don't have studs coming up from the bottom, they are screws. In most cases they remain captive, but I had one unit where one of them backed out all the way (or the factory never put it in?) and I had to remove the AC unit to reinstall. But agree, removing the motor won't be a problem if the rubber mounts are still attached to the pan.

The latest model of the Airxcel/Coleman/Mach noisy blade fix is: 1472D5041. Apparently, the B and C revisions had reliability problems (blades cracking free?).
