SAFE-T-Alert CO Detector replacement

My CO detector is 60 months old and is giving the code that it needs to be replaced. Anyone know where to get an exact match replacement?

Check Amazon or on line with your make and model. Also CampingWorld might stock them.
There should be a fuse you can remove if it is chirping at you.
Option is to use a plug in style.

Exact match (newest version, same size & mounting) for mine was found on Amazon.

Amazon. Picture on their website is inaccurate, so don't think it's wrong. Just follow the model numbers

Going along with this thread - I just replaced mine and can't get it to work (no power). I replaced it with the exact same model - Safe-T-alert 35-742 black dual CO / LP alarm. No lights are lit up. I checked and replaced the 1 amp fuse in outside compartment (under driver seat) - it was not bad. I did a 12v reset and still no lights on the alarm. I pressed reset on the alarm itself and still no go. Am I missing something - other than maybe I received a bad alarm?

How did you connect the wires? Wire nuts or use crimped connectors. Is it possible you reversed the polarity?

I bought two units at Lowes for about $25-30 each and have mounted near main TV on wall and in bedroom. I much prefer my units and NOT the exact replacement.

I have no idea why double posts

I got the exact replacements and it failed within 6 months or so. IMO they are so sensitive they can give false alarms. The MFG replaced it for free and I installed it with another set of crimp connectors.

I used crimped connectors and the wiring is correct. Never thought of a big box store - will keep that in mind. I will be sending it back and see what happens.

The unit that came with my coach is still working.
I use a couple of first alert dual units in my coach. (Smoke / CO2)
I put one on the bedroom wall and one in the basement.

I got the two pack on an Amazon deal.
These are the same type units I use at home. Simple, no wiring, loud, and each to change the battery with.

The Alarm in our coach started chirping the second year in. Our dog Monty always slept under the chair by the alarm so we blamed him for having gas and setting off the alarm. We finally realized it was the alarm that was faulty. We begged forgiveness from Monty which he gave of course. You know how they are. I think Entegra got some old stock or a faulty batch but however I believe it is stated they need to be replaced every five years. There is a manufacture date on them somewhere.

Good luck.

A follow up on my earlier post. I checked and rechecked and couldn't find why the new alert was not getting power. I decided to change out the 1 amp fuse in the compartment below the drivers seat. This fuse checked all ok but when I changed it - power on. All good.
