Sales support at the factory?

If we go to the factory, will we be able to tour new coaches? Drive new coaches?

We realize we must purchase and take delivery from a dealer. Just want to see some coaches.

We know we want a 44B Anthem, but we hate trying to make choices based on photos on the internet. (or should I say lack of photos on the internet).

SOB have sales support people at their factories and encourage walk throughs of the completed coaches and some will let you test drive. I have reviewed some older threads here that suggest there isn't much hope to do either.

Have things changed with the new factory?

Yes, they will escort you on a factory tour, and let you look inside completed coaches ! Fun tour and great people.

I highly doubt it as all coaches that are finished are spoken for by dealers and or customers.

Sales support at the factory?

No test drives, sure would be nice if they did!

That is true at SOBs and they still let them be used for test drives

Because Entegra coaches being built are all sold I wouldn't want my newly built unit going for a joy ride. Dealers encourage you to drive one with a salesperson, big selling point. Entegra wants you to get involved with a dealer. Seeing one being built is awesome, especially if you know what you are looking at and know the competition. This was a real eye opener to take the tour for us. Especially after taking a tour at N. Jmho

As one intending to place an order very soon for a 2016 at either E and N, I'd be very interested to hear what differences you observed between the 2. PM if you'd like. Thanks.

Driving an Entegra is nice, but it is not the one you will be getting. Many of us have had different handling characteristics from the Spartan Chassis.

Not true, after 3 rear ends, 2 alignments, steering box work plus new steering hose, air brake work and a partridge in a pear tree, you said yours drives just like it's supposed to!

We are about to drop $350K on a coach. I don't think it is fair to characterize us as wanting to take a joy ride. Not like we are going to be laying down rubber or popping wheelies. Plus I don't understand why you think it is OK for a dealer to take us out for a test drive, but not the factory. They both involve me driving someone else's future coach. I am not going to buy a coach unless I get to drive one especially when they tout "the quietest riding, best handling coach on the market today, period".

One of the Entegra dealers I have been working with (in LA) has balked each time I have talked about a test drive. Very frustrating. He wants me to drive the one I am going to buy. Really! (pretty sure we will NEVER buy from him).

I have several Entegra dealers that will let me test drive, but they involve an airplane ride, boarding the dogs, renting a car, hotel rooms etc. Plus they have some, but not all, the color combinations. I was just hoping that the factory could solve all those problems in one trip.

Sounds like it is time for a trip to a mega dealer

For sure do a factory tour. While you are in the area Newmar is close by and they do tours every day during the week. Take a look at both facilities and their construction practices. When you do I believe you will be happier with a Entegra. Sorry no factory drives are available at this time for the reasons already stated. I believe Entegra tours are conducted on Tuesdays unless you have made other arrangements. Be surer and set a time with them prior to showing up. We have a 2016 44B (Victory Blue/Gray interior subject to change) on order and I too would not appreciate it being a test vehicle for a buyer I had never met. You have plenty of opportunities to visit one of the big dealers and I am sure they will be happy to arrange a test drive for you. Good luck - in my opinion you can't go to far wrong with either one. It is simply a matter of preference. I doubt you will be able to beat the customer experience we have had with Entegra on our 2013 Aspire DEQ. It was our first coach and we had zero idea what we were doing and have no regrets about our purchase - 23,000+ miles with very few problems and the reason we decided to buy another coach from them. You will be joining a great owners community with Entegra if you decide to go that direction.

Yeah, but it "only" took a year to get there and it sure isn't the handle characteristics I had at delivery. It sure didn't handling like one I would have test driven.
