Samsung replacement

It looks like my 23 cu ft Samsung is about done...just wondering what make / model Entegra is currently using or what is recommended for my classic.

Entegra is currently installing a counter depth Whirlpool. Personally I do not care for it, it is at the bottom of the line for Whirlpool. The drawers stick and are not smooth, it just has a cheap interior. Others have updated to a LG model with the ice-maker in the door they prefer over the Whirlpool. C310 made the swap as soon as his coach was delivered.

My Classic came with a Maytag, in door ice and water - so far has been solid. We have a GE profile, counter depth, we bought for our new(er) home - not impressed - makes more noise than any I have heard. It also takes a special water filter with a chip that shuts down the ice and water dispenser when time to change.

This is a good time for an update on the LG refrigerator I installed in our 2019 Anthem as soon as we got it home. The refrigerator is a great design with the ice maker in the door and ample shelf space with this design. It worked great for 2-1/2 years and then it didn’t cool on June 17th. Yes June 17th. I could now write a book on all the lies, dozens of hours I have spent on the phone, text and emails with LG but the bottom line is LG is the worst company I have ever dealt with and it still is continuing 12 weeks after it quit. Even though they boast a 10 year warranty on the compressor/refrigeration and their warranty says they would repair or replace the refrigerator they don’t say they are going to “Prorate” your refund if they can’t fix it. That is where I’m now at 12 weeks later still waiting for the Prorated refund. The latest I was told from the office of the president of LG USA is our Prorated check was supposedly issued on August 27th. They went on to say “please allow USPS 14 to 21 days to receive your check”. When I asked where the check was coming from I was told New Jersey!! While I can’t tell the OP what to buy I can sure tell everyone what company to stay away from and that is anything connected to LG.

Steve, thanks for that update. It sounds like LG is a sub company of Samsung. I had the same run around from Samsung with the Microwave on my 14 after Entegra replaced it once . Decided it was no longer worth the hassle and dug into my pocket to replace it with a Whirlpool. I wonder if Whirlpool has an upgraded model that will fit in the Entegras? It looks like both Samsung and LG have a very short life span and the worst customer service.
I had a minor installation problem on the Whirlpool in the 21, Whirlpool was out there and took care of the problem and even followed up with a phone call asking if it was working okay a few days later. I was impressed after the hassle with Samsung and their "no service" calls.
