Sanicon macerator hose replacement
My original hose on 16 CS was replaced due to a TSB. Second hose was replaced with one that did not have the fabric sleeve during 2year AIM at factory. It is now leaking, more pinholes. No one has any of these in stock. Any suggestions for a third party substitute? It is the 1 1/2 inch 21 ft hose. Thanks

David I seem to remember a couple of threads involving hose replacement. Here is one:
https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/19-...ak-499498.html
Not sure why you've had so many issues with your hoses, maybe a bad batch? I've not had any problems (jinks!) and I'm probably a pretty heavy user in that when we travel we rarely stay in one place more than a few days. So it's in and out dozens of time a year.

You’re right, I just looked and for whatever reason, everyone is out of stock. I know one person used a pool hose. Not sure I would.

Always use the 3” dump. I would think those hoses would be readily available.

If you have to use a hose substitutehose, nylon covers are available. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Braided+F...ref=nb_sb_noss

Two quick things
At least on my Cornerstone, the Sanicon hose is not 20'.... it is 30' instead. It is a special version made for Entegra coaches. I had to buy a new hose at one point and I bought it through Thetford customer service. They told me that there were two versions available, a 20' and a 30' and the 30' was the one spec'd for the Entegra.
I would think that either Entegra Customer Service or Thetford CS would be able to get a replacement hose on the way quickly.

Thanks Gary. I will check with ThetFord as another poster had a part number for the 30 ft one.

I called Thetford customer service. They said that you had to get them from one of their dealers. Well guess what? No one has any in stock. Even Entegra said it would be at least 6 weeks plus like $389.
Crazy!

I paid over $300 as I remember.
EDIT: I paid ~ $270 for the 30' hose about 2 years ago. I would guess that you were quoted list
Here a link to an entire thread that I did about the macerator hose and its install a couple years ago...

Gary,
Thanks, that really help. When my wife was vacuuming with our Dirt Devil Central Vac I noticed that the hose might work. I have ordered a pool vacuum hose and a central vac hose. We will see what happens. I am going to experiment with Grey water only. LOL.

I bought my 2017 Cornerstone used. I believe the Sanicon hose is original.
I love the Sanicon compared to the 3 inch gravity dump I used for years on my old Monaco.
I leave my hose out when in an RV park. I dump about every other day and dump the morning I leave. I have had no issues with the hose leaking.
Should just go ahead and purchase a new hose and be ready for failure. I do have a new 3 inch hose in the basement of the coach that I have never used for backup.
I have never disconnected the Sanicon hose from my coach. I just walk the water out of my hose 2 or 3 times before I pull it out of the sewer connection.
What is the expected life span of the hose?

I don't know the expected life but I learned from Buddy101 (Bruce) that if you loosen one of the Banjo connections at the base of the hose, it releases the vacuum and you only have to walk it out once. If you loosen both the hose is much easier to run out the opening in the bottom of the storage so you don't have to leave the door open. Not sure if the 17's have the same Banjo fitting.

I always disconnect the banjo camlock fitting completely and then with the camlock end, hold the hose up in the air and let it drain fully..... moving a little forward as I go until I am close to the end.
I am going to try loosening one fitting and then see if that improves anything in the emptying process.... it might.... just never dont it that way. I will report back.
