Saniflo macerating toilet

Howdy Brain Trust, Having recently acquired my 2021 Anthem, and finding out, still finding out, that owner's manuals are missing as I go through the various systems, I'm wondering if anyone knows which model of the SaniFlo macerating toilet would have been installed in my coach? Thank you in advance for your insights.

I believe that in '21, Entegra switched their macerating toilet from something in the Thetford Tecma line to a Sanimarin: https://www.sanimarin.com/en/

There were many complaints suggesting that it required multiple attempts to completely flush.

I believe that Entegra gave some consideration to owners who wanted to swap the Sanimarin for a Tecma.

Here's a link to a thread (https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/pro...ly-501510.html) that describes a procedure to increase the water flow so that it flushes more completely.

On the base of my macerator toilet are two covers that covers all the working parts, removal of one of those covers exposes the manufacturers label that will give you all the information you want. Yours may be similar.

As 777 Driver indicated, you have a Sanimarin toilet. Due to issues, there was a technical service bulletin (TSB 20-038) that replaced the toilet controller. The previous owner should have had this done which would have corrected the problems owners were having. Partly through the model year Entegra changed back to the original toilet (Tecma). So there may not be a lot of these toilets out there. We have been using the Sanimarin toilet for 4 years without a problem. Attached are the pertinent pages of the owners manual.

My 21 came with the Sanimarin toilet. It was so bad, I had Entegra change in back to a Techma. Some bean counter switch to the Sanimarin to save a buck. It is a water saver marine toilet designed to sit right on top of a hold tank, not to push solids 5 feet to an RV holding tank. Entegra quickly found out, never buy anything before you test it. If that is what is in your coach, the only repair is to replace it. You can go to Stu's linked sight....there are instruction to program the water flow, but it doesn't do much. Entegra tried to make that toilet do a job it wasn't designed for and it didn't work. Just my experience.


Nice to see Roger's post that the TSB worked, I personally didn't wait until the bulletin came out.
