I had both Traveler & in-motion on my old coach.
Yes it's kind of a hassle to switch between them and you have to reprogram your receiver to use a different dish each time you change. With Traveler, use dish #17 Slimline....with In-motion, use dish #1, Round.
Then you need to wait for it to download the guide and everything should then work.
In 3 years, I can count on one hand the number of times we used the In-motion....which with DirecTV is Standard Definition only...and then was because we had a tree blocking our big dish in the middle of the coach....the bubble was on the front end just behind A/C #1.

Thanks Pat, on all our coaches we only had IN Motion, So we are hoping the bigger Traveler dish we will get a better(stronger) signal. And as I said were we are in life we can just stop & smell the ROSES. WHEN ARE YOU AT NIRVC??????? NEW COACH!!!!!

We traveled for 9 months (Aug-Mar) and rented our house. The renter had Dish satellite installed in our house (we had cable service). He allowed us to rent another receiver through his account and we bought a Winegard X2 self directing satellite. It worked great at every site we camped. There was no problem connecting the unit's cable to the cable input on our motorhome.
During March we came off the road and moved back into our house. We went back to using cable due to the difference in monthly costs. If anyone is interested in our satellite antenna, we are selling ours for $250 (paid $600 for it). It is in excellent condition, but can't use it anymore since we have cable service.
