Satellite Reception

2018 Cornerstone. Direct TV. Winegard Trav'ler 5K-SWM-3 satellite system.
For some ressaon, reciever will not lock on to satellites. It searches and keeps moving but cannot find the satellite. There are no obstructions.
Is there anything I can try before taking it to a shop?

I had a similar thing with our first Trav'ler, it would search and search but never find. A couple of times I loosened the coax cables to the LNB head and worked them around a bit then tightened them back up. That cleared any corrosion on the center lead and it did help it lock onto the satellites.

That happened to me and I called winegard support. They said it usually is the short cable from the base up to the LNB head. They will email you instructions to replace it. It fixed mine.

Yes that's a common failure, call Winegard for the best advice. Also, you have a SWM power inserter somewhere (probably in the cargo bay) that needs to have 120v AC power. Make sure it's still plugged in. In this photo, it's the gray box on the far right: https://photos.app.goo.gl/5KZkdK9CsRPxGJbY8
