Can anyone tell me how to get the SD card out of the Rand McNally GPS on a 2021 Entegea Anthem. I got a message that there was a map update but have not been able to get the SD card out to update it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Here you go. It is the purple SD card in the center of the photo. My 19 GPS did not even work until I programmed the card. It could not find my home address from NIRVC. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/201...ml#post4481861

On one of my SD cards, don't remember which one, I had to use a little hook tool to remove the card after it popped loose. The spring was not strong enough to push the card out enough to get ahold of it.

So am I thinking right that I would have to un-screw The Black panel that holds the GPS and other things from the dash and remove the SD card from the backside of the GPS.?

Card is under parcel shelf, not behind dash unit.

Lift up the flat faux wood panel on the passenger side of the dash. It is attached with Velcro. Everything is right there. Look for that larger plug, it should be on top and the GPS unit will be underneath it. You might have to move some wires, mine was just as shown in the photo when I took the panel off.

My card has 2017 typed on it on my 2018 Anthem. After successfully updating it two years ago, it now says on the dock that there are no updates available. Obviously it is out of date but no luck. Any ideas?

I had to get a new SD card from Riverpark to solve my issues. I was out of room on the SD card.

I on my 21 update I had to delete the dock program and reload it. I remember seeing they had a problem and were down a few months prior too. The reload did the trick, the card updated with no problem.

So there is a new update?? My RM Dock says no update. I guess for my purposes what is the effective date of the update?

My 21 needed updates and that is when I had to reload the Dock software. If you have an old copy of the dock software that is the message it gives, "no updates". I have not had a new Entegra that did not require updates on the Rand McNally. I think the cards that are installed with each unit are out dated when new.

There is a file (I believe it is a config file) that is on the SD card that needs to be deleted. I was having the same problem and called RM and they told me which file to delete. As soon as I deleted it, the SD card updated and I had updated maps.

I posted the fie that needed to be deleted in a post up here about two years ago. I am traveling today and doubt that I have time to search for the file (maybe Chuck does) but it was a simple fix.

Yep I deleted that file when I saw your post and it updated fine then. I'll try Chuck's suggestion and check the SD card again when I get back to a park with better cell or WiFi. Thanks!
