Seat belts

Has anybody else had problems with the length of the seat belts in the dinette? I realize we're not as shapely as we used to be but.......these might fit around grandchildren.

Yes, they are much too short to be useable. We brought this up last summer at the factory and they appeared to be unaware of that. It is on my PDI list for a possible fix.

We don't use them but there should be a way to extend them.

As a temp or quick fix, they do make seat belt extenders if something is needed right away. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...extender&ajr=0

I found some longer belts a AutoZone and swapped them. My wife and mom in law like to ride there with a table.

We had additional seat belts installed by a local vehicle mobility dealer. They had the same seat belts already installed in the coach. We were able to choose the length, and they are certified as an installer to meet vehicle safety regulations.

Should be easy to lookup in your local yellow pages.

Does anyone else have trouble with the drivers and passenger shoulder belts keep tightening up as you drive?

Yes, we stopped at the first Walmart on our way home and bought a pair of these. Not as uncomfortable now.

Should belt pads.

My front seat belts have a plastic lever thing mounted up near the top anchor of the shoulder belt. When I put the belt on I reach up and flip the lever on it. That locks the belt in place so it doesn't get tighter. If I pull the belt it flips the thing open and allows the belt to slide through. I think this is a pretty common item on semi tractor type trucks (which my Truck Conversion is built on). It's great to keep the belt from getting tighter. I can't seem to find any pictures of it in my photos. Next time I get to my rig I'll try to remember to take a picture of it. Stop in a Freightliner truck dealer and see if the parts guy can show you one. Might be able to mount one to your shoulder belts.

Only on the passenger side. Flex steel worked on it last year when we were in Middlebury and it is much better now. Steve

Let's see if I can post a picture. It's that yellow plastic thing up near the top. How come all the pictures of me in the driver's seat have food in them?

Flora uses a clip at the top of the belt and it allows some slack. Works great for her. We also use the fuzzy pads for the belt and it helps with the comfort issues. You don't want too much slack in case there is a collision.
